For over 25 years Carl has been studying classical music. From private lessons as a boy to university in New Hampshire, his passion for performance shines in dazzling recitals. What sets him and his performances apart is his casual, comfortable approach to a genre that is all too often regarded as banal. Even those who don't normally enjoy classical music rave about Carl's shows. And, Carl's signature improvisations (as seen in the videos below) never fail to amaze. The video above was recorded on Queen Victoria in 2016, with Carl performing his four-hand duet composition inspired by life on the ship. He is joined by fellow ship musician Eugene, from Ukraine. The composition was written onboard three years earlier and dedicated to Halida Dinova, who performed it's debut with Carl in 2013

 

 

The video above was recorded on 19th March, 2012 on Queen Victoria. Carl performs with fellow guest entertainer Philip Lange in the Queen's Room for a matinee' classical recital.
